Never Change is the debut EP from Christchurch based producer Keanu Raves. The EP opener 'Don't You Know' is an atmospheric, deep house journey, featuring modulating dub-delayed synths with RnB styled vocal samples. Next up is 'Feel About You', a dusty, lo-fi house inspired, feel good anthem. "Believe In Me' is an atmospheric deep lo-fi house track that is percussive driven. Blending four to the floor drum patterns with Afro hand percussion rhythms plays well against the synthetic riffs and dissonant chords making it the perfect opening track for a deep and hazy DJ set" (Analog Advisory). Finally, the album closer 'Out Of Body' takes you on an experimental, trance inspired techno journey featuring sounds synthesized during an improvised hardware jam.

Cameron Hoy a.k.a Keanu Raves began producing techno in April 2018 after being inspired by a night out at the famed Berlin techno club Tresor. After producing mostly guitar based music for the past 10 years, Hoy quickly became hooked on the different approach to music composition and the fresh palette of sounds.

Now inspired by 90s-current House, Techno, Electro and Trance, Keanu Raves is further honing his production and DJing skills in pursuit of his own signature sound. With the release of his first EP on Club Unique, a new house and techno artist collective and radio show hosted alongside fellow Christchurch producer Muireb, and plenty more productions in the works, 2019 looks set to be a busy year for Keanu Raves.
